Indian Troops Involved in Fatal Encounter in Chhattisgarh, Claiming Three Lives

Bijapur, In a recent operation in Chhattisgarh, India, Indian troops were involved in an encounter that resulted in the deaths of two women and a youth. The incident took place in the Bijapur district of the state, known for its disturbances.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian army conducted a search operation in the Belam Gutta hills area of Bijapur district, where they engaged in what was described as a fake encounter. The Indian forces involved included personnel from the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), an elite unit of the Central Reserve Police Force, and the District Reserve Guard (DRG). The deceased were labeled as Naxal activists by the forces. Following the operation, the bodies of the three individuals, including the two women, were recovered from the site.

In a separate but related operation, Indian police in Punjab were involved in a shooting incident in Gulmohar Colony, Jalandhar city, on Sunday morning. This engagement resulted in two individuals, identified as Nitin and Ashish, being shot and injured. The police labeled them as members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The incidents in both Chhattisgarh and Punjab highlight ongoing security operations by Indian forces in various parts of the country, which often lead to violent confrontations and casualties.
