New Delhi, July 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Indian Supreme Court has stayed the proceedings against 30 Indian Army men facing a criminal case involving the killing of 14 civilians in the disturbed state of Nagaland. According to Kashmir Media Service, the civilians were killed by Indian army in December last year in Nagaland.
The order came from a bench led by Justice Indira Banerjee on two petitions seeking quashing of the FIR lodged by the Nagaland Police and the findings of an inquiry commission set up by the state government. The petitions have been filed by Anjali Gupta, wife of Major Ankush Gupta, one of the Army officers named in the case.
