Birmingham, July 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):The campaign meetings for Kashmir March in Birmingham on Indian Independence Day, 15th August 2021 (Black Day) were held in various cities of West Midlands. Fahim Kayani, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, alongside Mufti Fazal Ahmed Qadri, Senior Imaam at the Derby Jamia Masjid, and Khawaja Muhammad Suleman, founding member of TeK, UK, also attended a meeting in Nottingham organised by Jammu and Kashmir Overseas Council and chaired by Raja Ajaib Khan.
The representatives of all Pakistani and Kashmiri parties, Raja Javed Iqbal, Raja Ali Asghar, Raja Ashfaq, Shoaib Abbasi, Ch Bashrat, Master Yasin, Raja Asghar, Councillor Gulnwaz, Sheriff Ali Asghar, Councillor Jahanghir, Farooq Mir, Ch Yasin, Ch Younas Chathrovi, Ch Zaman, Yousaf Farooq and Ch Rahid participated in the meeting to offer their support to make the Kashmir March in Birmingham successful.
Fahim Kayani on the occasion said, “Indian so-called democracy led by fascist Modi and the right wing party, BJP has been badly exposed at international level since the brutal and oppressive actions were taken against Kashmiris on 5th August 2019. India is spending millions of dollars at international level to silence the voices of Kashmiris but the determination and effective lobby of Kashmiri Diaspora have failed all Modi’s plans to sell false narrative about the Kashmir dispute. Now It is very important for Kashmir Diaspora to march the streets in thousands to highlight the Kashmir dispute before the world community after continued COVID-19 lockdown.”
Mufti Fazal Ahmed Qadari said, “I am pleased to see the unity between different Kashmiri and Pakistani groups on one point that the people of Kashmir must get their basic and birth right to self-determination.”
Khawaja Muhammad Suleiman said, “People of Indian illegally occupied Kashmir have given their sacrifices for freedom so now it’s our duty to inject resources and capabilities to make our freedom struggle successful. Furthermore, the role of women is very important in our struggle for a logical conclusion so we must make sure the participation of our mothers, sisters and daughters in Kashmiri protests.”
Yahya Akhtar, Director of TeK Kashmir Information Cell, said during the campaign meeting held in Derby, “This Kashmir March in Birmingham is timely decision and large numbers will participate from Derby to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir so I urge Tehreek-e-Kashmir workers to take the message of Kashmir March to every household in Derby”.
The meeting was attended by Haji Nazir Ahmed, Chairman of Derby Mosque, Ch Muhammad Farooq, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir Derby Branch, Talat Baseer, Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, Qari Ikhlaq and other prominent personalities participated in the meeting.
Another campaign meeting was held in Burton and it was also attended by Fahim Kayani, Fazal Ahmed Qadari, Khawaja Muhammad Suleman, Maulana Suleman, Qari Raza-ul-Mustafa, Muhammad Tariq, Haji Rafaqat, Ch N Yousaf and other prominent personalities.
