Indian policeman killed in Srinagar attack

Srinagar, May 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian policeman was killed while his daughter was injured in an attack in Srinagar city, today. The policeman identified as Saifullah Qadri and his daughter were injured after they were fired upon by unidentified gunmen in Aanchar Soura area of the city. They were rushed to a hospital for treatment. However, the cop succumbed to his injuries at the hospital while his daughter is undergoing treatment.

Soon after the incident, Indian troops and police personnel cordoned off the area and launched searches to nab the attackers. Meanwhile, three civilians were injured after unknown persons hurled a grenade on a naka party of Indian police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force in Yaripora area of Kulgam district, this evening.

An official told the media that unidentified persons hurled a grenade and also fired upon a naka party of CRPF and police in Yaripora, however, it missed the target and exploded away from them. He said that in the incident, three civilians received injuries, who have been shifted to hospital, where their condition is said to be stable. He added that the area has been cordoned off to arrest the attackers.
