Indian Policeman and Polling Staff Member Die in Reasi Road Accident


Jammu: A tragic road accident in the Reasi district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir claimed the lives of an Indian Reserve Police constable and another individual, as their vehicle veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge. The incident, which occurred near the remote village of Tukson-Angadi in the Mahore area, also left an election Zonal Magistrate injured.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident took place while the vehicle was transporting polling staff to their designated stations in preparation for the second phase of the so-called assembly elections, which are scheduled to occur tomorrow. The vehicle reportedly skidded off the treacherous mountain road, resulting in a fatal plunge.



The names of the deceased have not been released pending notification of next of kin. The injured Zonal Magistrate, identified as Ajay Kumar, has been taken to a nearby hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.



Authorities are investigating the precise cause of the accident, and efforts are underway to ensure the safety of other polling staff traveling in the region.
