Indian police use drones for surveillance in Srinagar

Srinagar, August 13, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have pressed into service drones to keep a watch over Anchar and adjacent areas of Soura in Srinagar ahead of India’s Independence Day 15th August.

A police spokesperson in a statement said that it carried out a successful drone surveillance exercise over Anchar and adjacent areas. “Several high-end drones are being utilised for the said purpose. The drone surveillance is being used within the 2-kilometre radius in/around the Anchar Soura,” the spokesperson said. Anchar had turned into a resistance hotbed in 2019 following the abrogation of special status of IIOJK by the Modi-led fascist Indian government. The area witnessed heavy clashes between Indian forces’ personnel and youth and had grabbed global headlines.
