Srinagar: Indian police have ramped up their operations against pro-freedom individuals with intensified house raids across Srinagar and other regions in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
Authorities confirmed that searches targeted the homes of several residents, including Imtiyaz Ahmad Parray, Arsh Koul, Mutaib Zahoor Butt, Basit Ashraf Malik, and Mohammad Rafiq Shah, all located in various neighborhoods of Srinagar.
According to police statements, the raids aimed to seize documents and digital devices. This effort is part of a broader strategy to gather evidence and intelligence to prevent activities deemed conspiratorial against the Indian state.
The police issued a warning that any persons found promoting violence, disruption, or unlawful activities would face strict legal penalties. The operation underscores the ongoing tensions and crackdown efforts in the region.
