Indian Police claim arresting 19 Kashmiris in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 29, 2022 (PPI-OT): Indian police have arrested as many as 19 people, on the charge of anti-India sloganeering and stone-pelting outside Muhammad Yasin Malik’s house in Maisuma area of Srinagar. Regarding the incident, a case under FIR number 10/2022 under relevant sections of draconian law Public Safety Act was registered in Police Station Maisuma and investigation was initiated.

Accordingly, midnight raids were conducted at many places that led to the arrest of 19 persons. Raids are being conducted to arrest more people, police said. Police warned the youth to stay away from anti-India activities. “Such activities will never be tolerated at all, now or in future”, the Police tweeted.

It is worth mentioning here that Maisuma area of Srinagar continues to face protests since Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment by an Indian kangaroo court in a bogus case on May 25.
