Jammu, September 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indian police have booked at least 63 cattle traders and seized over 50 vehicles along with more than 800 animals in Ramban district of Jammu region in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Several police parties from different police stations stopped 53 various types of vehicles carrying bovine animals from Jammu to Srinagar on Srinagar-Jammu Highway in Batote, Chanderkote, Ramban, Ramsu, Banihal and Dhramkund areas of the district. They took more than 816 bovines into their possession. The police booked 63 persons on the charges of cattle smuggling.
It is to mention here that Hindutva-backed and New Delhi-installed administration in IIOJK is victimizing the Muslim cattle traders on the charges of smuggling bovine animals. The action is intended to terrorize and force them to stop trade of bovines for slaughter purpose. They are also often attacked by cow vigilantes.
