Indian Police Arrest Two Under Public Safety Act in Jammu


Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, police have arrested two individuals in the Kathua district of the Jammu region under the controversial Public Safety Act.



According to Kashmir Media Service, a police spokesperson stated that Mohammad Abbas, from the Dhir area of Balwar, and Farman Ali, from the Gota Rahwa area of Marheen, were taken into custody and are currently being held in Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu. The authorities have accused Mohammad Abbas of being affiliated with a freedom organization, while Farman Ali has been labeled as a cow smuggler.



The arrests have sparked concerns, with claims that the authorities frequently use such allegations to detain Kashmiri youth.
