Indian police arrest nine Muslim youth in Bhaderwah

Jammu, June 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have arrested nine Muslim youth in Bhaderwah town of Jammu region. The arrested youth were part of a group that had protested in the town last week against the Indian ruling Bharatiya Janata Party leaders’ derogatory remarks on Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Meanwhile, the curfew continues in Bhaderwah town on the seventh day, today, while the administration relaxed curfew for few hours in Kishtwar town.

Tension had griped Bhaderwah on Thursday (June 09) evening after activists of Hindutva organizations including Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Bharatiya Janata Party and Banjrang Dal attacked the Muslims when they took out a protest against the blasphemous remarks of the BJP leaders. Later, the authorities had clamped curfew in Bhaderwah, Kishtwar and other areas of the Jammu region.
