Indian Paramilitary Trooper Injures Woman in Pulwama

Srinagar, A woman was injured in Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, after being shot by a member of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) during a patrol. The incident has prompted concerns about the safety of civilians in areas with a significant security presence.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place in the Syedabad Pastoona Tral area where CRPF and police personnel were conducting a patrol. The woman, identified as 40-year-old Shaheena, was reportedly struck by gunfire and subsequently transported to the Bone and Joint Hospital in Srinagar. Officials have stated that her condition is stable.

The shooting raises questions about the protocols employed by security forces operating in conflict zones, particularly in regions with ongoing tensions such as Kashmir.
