Srinagar, September 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indian government has deployed paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) companies of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (Cobra) in the jungles of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
A couple of companies of paramilitary Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (Cobra) have been deployed in the forests of Kupwara to deal with the mujahedeen, insiders revealed.
They said that Cobra companies were shifted from Bihar and Jharkhand states of India in April this year and after taking training in Kashmir’s jungles, they for the first time have been deployed in the forests of Kupwara district.
The Cobra companies were earlier deployed in different Nexal belts and now they will start taking part in operations in Kashmir Valley. CoBRA battalions of CRPF are also called jungle warriors who perform anti-militancy operations in difficult terrains of dense forests in India.
