Indian National Congress Leader Bhalla Criticizes BJP’s Policies in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, Raman Bhalla, the Working President of the Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the Indian National Congress, has publicly denounced the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concerning Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and its people. Bhalla’s criticism centers on the BJP’s approach towards the constitutional and political rights of the Kashmiri populace.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Bhalla expressed his concerns during a public gathering at Pakhri village in the Samba district of IIOJK. He accused the ruling party in Delhi of enacting laws that compromise the rights and interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Bhalla’s remarks highlighted the growing unease over the central government’s legislative changes in the region.

Bhalla specifically condemned the BJP government’s failure to restore statehood to Kashmir and its reluctance to conduct Assembly elections in the territory. He emphasized that these actions are detrimental to the region’s democratic structure and the rights of its people.

Further, Bhalla reassured that the Congress party is committed to safeguarding the interests of Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that the party is actively working towards ensuring peace and prosperity in the region, which he believes are essential for empowering the people politically and economically.
