Indian lawmakers to inspect use of Hindi in IIOJK govt offices

Srinagar, July 12, 2021 (PPI-OT):In a bid to Hinduize the Muslim dominated Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian parliamentary committee on official languages will visit Jammu and Kashmir next week to inspect the use of Hindi in government offices in the territory. The team will comprise MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha of Indian parliament and it will arrive in IIOJK on Wednesday and would inspect government offices in Srinagar and Jammu before returning to New Delhi. The committee, mandated to review the progress made in the use of Hindi for official purposes, has been set up under the Official Language Act, 1963.
