Indian govt invites Kargil politicians for talks in Delhi

New Delhi, June 27, 2021 (PPI-OT):Three days after Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi chaired an All Party Meeting with politicians from the occupied valley and Jammu in New Delhi, the Indian government has now invited Kargil leadership for talks on July 1.

Media reports said that Kargil politicians would meet Minister of State for Home, G Kishen Reddy in Delhi on July 1. Former Congress legislator, Asghar Karbalai confirmed that they have been invited by the Indian government for talks. “We will be meeting G Kishen Reddy on July 1. All the leaders from Kargil who have been invited will attend the meet,” he said.

The meeting comes barely three days after Narendra Modi chaired All Party-Meet with IIOJK leaders. It is pertinent to mention that the majority of the leaders, who participated in the meeting, demanded the restoration of Article 370 and full statehood to JandK.
