Islamabad, In an unprecedented cyber incident, the website of the Indian Gazette was reportedly hacked, displaying content related to the Pakistani movie ‘Dhai Chaal’. Hackers also replaced the Indian flag with Pakistan’s flag, featuring an eagle, on the website.
According to Kashmir Media Service, an individual known as X user claimed responsibility for the hack on social media. The user shared a post stating, “The website of The Gazette of India Hacked with the message Dhai Chaal Na Waqt Ho Gaya Hai.” The post included a screenshot of the hacked website, along with the official website address for verification.
‘Dhai Chaal’, a film based on real-life events, particularly focuses on the arrest of Indian Spy Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav, as described by its producer, Dr. Irfan Ashraf. Dr. Ashraf highlighted that the film aims to pay tribute to the sacrifices of locals in Balochistan, promote the positive aspects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and expose Indian-sponsored terrorism in the region. The movie also seeks to present Pakistan’s reality to the world in a cinematic form.
The film revolves around the story of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was arrested by Pakistani security forces on March 3, 2016. The incident is noted as unique since World War II, marking the arrest of a serving intelligence officer of one country (India) for spying in another (Pakistan).
Following its release, ‘Dhai Chaal’ achieved significant success and acclaim, drawing large audiences to Pakistani theaters. The movie’s release sparked considerable interest among the youth, with many expressing admiration for the film’s portrayal of Balochistan’s story.
