Indian forces’ personnel harassed us during house raid, says jailed Shabbir Shah’s daughter

Srinagar, May 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Sehar Shabbir, the daughter of incarcerated senior APHC leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has said that Indian forces’ personnel harassed her and her mother during a raid at their house in Srinagar, today.

Sehar Shabbir in videos shared on twitter giving detail of the ordeal said that the Indian forces’ personnel raided their house in Srinagar ahead of the G20 meeting. “This video shows army men, black cat commandos leaving my home and the damage they caused following this massive devastating raid,” Sehar wrote in a tweet. She wrote that her mother was accompanying half of them while they searched the top storey of the house and the rest were checking the ground floor and other rooms. “They destroyed the drawing room’s furnishings and scattered objects all over,” she wrote in a tweet.

Posting the visuals from the CCTV footages from inside the house, Sehar wrote, “The visuals when army and black cat commandos climbed the walls and jumped inside; entering our house through our kitchen garden.” She asked that, “If this was because of G20, this is the highest level of harassment we faced today.” It is to mention here that Shabbir Shah has been languishing in jail since 2017. He is presently lodged in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail.
