Raipur, May 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indian paramilitary forces killed two members of tribal peoples and Dalits including a woman in disturbed state Chhattisgarh.
The paramilitary District Reserve Guard (DRG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and elite unit Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) killed them during cordon and search operations in Danteshpuram village under Bheji police station limits in Sukma district of the state on Monday morning.
The victims were identified as Erra and woman Podiyam Bhime.
The Indian authorities dubbed them Naxal guerrillas claiming that they were carrying a collective reward of Rs 11 lakh on their heads.
On the other hand, Indian paramilitary forces killed two other Naxal guerrillas include Rajesh of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) in a fake encounter in Puttapadu forest of Cherla Mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district in Telangana.
Pertinently, Naxalite groups generally represent the poorest and most socially marginalized members of Indian society and mostly affiliated with the Communist Party of India, and they control large territories in many of the states of eastern India notably Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, and West Bengal demanding an independent state.
Meanwhile, body of a 35-year-old India Reserve Battalion (IRB) man identified as Mandeep Kumar Gupta was recovered from the veranda of a high school in Palamu district of Jharkhand state, police said. While a 39-year-old woman purportedly hanged herself after her husband, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man beat her up at their residence in Pethapur Gandhinagar in Gujarat state in India.
