Sukma, July 29, 2023 (PPI-OT): Indian forces killed four to six people in disturbed Chhattisgarh state in India. Indian forces of District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the elite Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) of the Central Reserve Police Force during an operation against the Nexal guerrillas killed at least four to ultras in Chhotekedwal in Sukma district of the state, today, Indian police officials told media men.
Naxalites /Adivasi, a victim community, are demanding independence from Indian rule. Naxalites observe ‘Martyrs’ Week’ from July 28 to August 3 to mark the deaths of their colleagues in action. Huge Indian forces were deployed in Chhattisgarh state, particularly in seven districts of Bastar division, namely Dantewada, Bijapur, Bastar, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Sukma and Kanker.
Meanwhile, eight people were killed and several others were injured after an explosion took place in a firecracker factory in Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu state, today. Over four buildings were damaged due to the impact of the blast.
