Indian Forces Intensify Search Operations in Poonch and Reasi Districts

Jammu: Indian military and police forces are conducting extensive cordon and search operations (CASOs) in the Poonch and Reasi districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, continuing a series of actions that began earlier this year.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the operations involve personnel from the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Special Operations Group (SoG), focusing on several areas including Salotri-Mangnar and Dadoya-Poni. These operations have been triggered by reports of suspicious movements in the region, as stated by a local police officer. Residents have been instructed to remain vigilant and report any unusual activities.

The ongoing operations, which started in June, are part of a broader initiative across various districts in the Jammu region under the pretext of tracking so-called suspicious movements. These actions have raised concerns among the local population about the intensity and frequency of military activities in their communities.
