Indian Forces Detain Youth in Poonch, Alleging Links to Pro-Freedom Activists

Jammu: In a coordinated operation, Indian military and police forces detained a young man in the Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The arrest occurred at a joint checkpoint on the Potha Bypass, where security forces apprehended Mohammad Shabir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation was carried out by personnel from the 16 Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army and the 38 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force. Officials cited the recovery of weapons and alleged communications with pro-freedom activists as the reasons for Shabir’s arrest. This action is part of an ongoing strategy in the region targeting individuals connected to the pro-freedom movement.
