Indian Forces Detain Four in Kashmir, Claiming Militant Links


Srinagar, Indian security forces have apprehended four individuals in the region known as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation involved a joint effort by the Srinagar police, 50 Rashtriya Rifles, Valley Quick Reaction Team, and the 29th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force. The forces established a mobile vehicle checkpoint in the Kenihama area, under the jurisdiction of the Nowgam police station, where they intercepted a white Alto car.



The individuals arrested were identified as Mohammad Yaseen Butt, Sheraz Ahmad Rather, Ghulam Hassan Khandey, all from Lcchambal Zafran Colony in Panthachowk, and Imtiyaz Ahmad Butt from Frestabal Pampore. The police have classified these individuals as mujahideen, a term used to imply their involvement in militancy, and stated that weapons and ammunition were found in their possession.
