Jammu: Indian troops have intensified their cordon and search operations (CASOs) across several areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, carrying out house raids and establishing cordons in an ongoing security crackdown.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operations involving army troops and paramilitary forces are currently underway in the Rasani and Kog-Mandli areas of Kathua district. Additionally, another search operation has been active since Sunday in the Manial Gali-Thanamandi area of Rajouri district.
The escalation of military activity began after officials received intelligence reports about suspicious movements and the presence of armed individuals in these regions. A joint team comprising units from the Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, and Special Operation Groups was mobilized in response to these inputs.
These search operations are part of a broader strategy to maintain law and order in the region, with forces remaining on high alert. The operations were still ongoing at the time of the last reports.
