Srinagar: Indian security forces have initiated a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Srinagar district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. This action follows an attack that left four troops injured in the same area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel from the Indian paramilitary forces and police began the operation in the Khanyar area of Srinagar city earlier today. The operation comes after two personnel from the Indian Central Reserve Police Force and two Indian policemen were injured in an attack in Khanyar. The injured troops have been transported to the Indian Army’s 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for medical treatment.
In a related development, Indian forces have also launched a cordon and search operation in the Panar area of Bandipora district. The operations are part of ongoing security measures in the region.
