Indian Defence Minister Consults Army Chief on Doda Operations

New Delhi: In response to recent incidents in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached out to Army Chief General Manoj Pande today to discuss the ongoing military operations and their impact.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during the conversation, the Minister inquired about the current ground situation and specific operational details, particularly focusing on the safety of troops involved in the Counter-Insurgency Operations (CASOs). This interaction follows the recent fatalities of five Indian soldiers, including an officer, during operations in the region.

Singh’s dialogue with General Pande underscores a growing concern within the Indian government over the effectiveness of its peace strategies in the occupied territory.
