Bijapur, September 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):A soldier of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Bijapur district of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Bijapur Superintendent of Police, Anjneya Varshney, said that the incident occurred near the Chintavagu River in Dharma ram village when a team of the CRPF’s 196th battalion was cordoning the area. The killed soldier was identified as Satpal Singh, a resident of Haryana. The IED blast is suspected to have been triggered by Naxalites, who are fighting for freedom of Chhattisgarh from India.
