Indian CRPF man commits suicide in Assam

Guwahati, September 01, 2023 (PPI-OT): An Indian Paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man committed suicide in Guwahati city of Assam State in India.

The Indian paramilitary man, identified as Bipin Chandra Roy, belonged to the 128 Battalion of the CRPF, committed suicide by hanging himself inside his camp at Jagiroad on the outskirts of the city.

The cause of his death is presumed to be self-slaughter, however, the reason behind him taking the extreme step couldn’t be established. Moreover, no suicide note was found in the vicinity.

Recently last month, another CRPF man, Pranjal Nath of Tezpur’s Pithakhowa hailing from Assam’s Tezpur, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at his office at 112 battalions of CRPF headquarter at Chianki in Jharkhand State.
