Srinagar, A constable of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has reportedly died by suicide in the Pulwama district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred at the Grid Station in the Pampore area of the Awantipora district, where the CRPF constable used his service rifle to take his own life. Following the incident, the body of the deceased was transported to the Police Hospital in Srinagar for necessary medico-legal formalities, as informed by an official of the Indian police to media representatives.
The incident adds to the growing number of similar cases within the ranks of Indian security forces operating in the region, highlighting concerns regarding mental health and the pressures faced by personnel stationed in conflicted and high-tension areas.
