Indian Army Soldier Dies from Heart Attack in Rajouri, 43 Detained in Temple Vandalism Case in Reasi


Jammu: A heart attack claimed the life of an Indian army man in Rajouri district, while in a separate incident, police detained 43 individuals linked to the vandalism of a temple in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.



According to Kashmir Media Service, Hav R B Shaik, a 42-year-old serving in the Corps Battle School (CBS) of Rajouri, suffered a fatal heart attack. In another incident reported from Reasi, authorities detained 43 people following vandalism at a Shiv temple in the Dharmari area, which incited widespread protests.



The temple incident, uncovered by a visitor last Saturday evening, led to immediate local and broader community unrest as images and videos of the damage spread rapidly online. Reasi’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Shamra, stated that among those detained were 24 suspects directly connected to the vandalism, reflecting swift police action amid rising tensions.
