Indian Army Organizes Diwali Event in Muslim-Dominated Area of Kashmir

The Indian army organized a Diwali celebration at a temple in the predominantly Muslim area of Teetwal along the Line of Control in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in line with the Modi-led government’s Hindutva agenda.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Commander Kumara Das of the Indian army’s 104 Vijay Shakti Brigade performed the puja at the Sharda temple, with Ravinder Pandita, Head and Founder of the Save Sharda Committee, also in attendance. This event is viewed as part of the Modi government’s broader strategy to alter the Muslim identity of Jammu and Kashmir.
