Indian Army Driver Killed in JCB Accident in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: A tragic accident in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) claimed the life of an Indian army driver, marking another incident in a recent spate of military vehicle accidents in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident occurred when Siddarth Chib, a JCB operator from the 173/TA Engineering unit, lost control of his vehicle while operating it in the Kahniwali Behak Nowgam sector. The JCB rolled down the terrain, resulting in Chib’s immediate death at the scene. Following the accident, Chib’s body was transferred to a local mortuary, as confirmed by an army official.

This event raises further concerns regarding the safety protocols and conditions under which Indian army personnel operate in the tumultuous region of IIOJK, which has seen an increase in both tensions and violent clashes.
