Islamabad, August 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has said that New Delhi-led administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir after failing to strangle the Kashmiris’ voice for freedom is resorting to various forms of intimidation and repression including revengeful arrests and fake cases against APHC leaders and activists.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad, today, said students and youth in large numbers have been barred from their academic activities, media men and editors have been directed to follow the diktats of the authorities not to publish statements of APHC. Besides, relatives of APHC members are being forced to attend police stations and their signatures are taken on blank papers and fake arms and ammunition recovery cases are filed against them, he said.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that in order to suppress the pro-freedom activities, the police authorities and their informers and agents were deeply involved in corrupt activities resulting in targeting of innocent youth on the charges of terrorism. He said that Modi’s Hindutva regime had turned Kashmir into a hell for its inhabitants.

The APHC-AJK Convener condemned the black laws imposed by India in IIOJK stating that the situation in the territory was worsening with each passing day. He reiterated APHC’s stance that the international forums and reporters should be permitted to visit IIOJK to assess the ground situation of the occupied territory.
