India Remains Silent on Canadian Allegations Against Amit Shah

New Delhi: India has failed to provide an official response to Canadian accusations implicating Indian Home Minister Amit Shah in orchestrating “a campaign of violence and intimidation” against pro-Khalistan activists.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau indicated that there were “ever clearer indications” of India violating Canada’s sovereignty by targeting Sikh separatist activists on Canadian soil. Trudeau described India’s actions as a “horrific mistake.”

Canada has further accused Home Minister Amit Shah of being behind the alleged campaign against pro-Khalistan activists, a charge that could exacerbate the diplomatic tension between Ottawa and New Delhi. Despite the gravity of these allegations, India has not issued an official response, although Reuters reported on Wednesday that Indian government officials had dismissed the accusations.

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister David Morrison informed members of the national security committee that the Canadian government views Shah as “the architect of the campaign” against Sikh separatists in Canada, including the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar last year.
