India Increases Military Operations in Kashmir Amid International Calls for Resolution

Srinagar: Indian troops have intensified their cordon-and-search operations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir as winter sets in.

According to Kashmir Media Service, this operational surge is not merely a security measure but part of the Modi regime’s oppressive policies in the occupied territory. Political analysts have criticized these actions for exacerbating civilian hardships, accusing Indian forces of employing harsh tactics under the pretext of anti-terror operations.

Analysts further emphasize that such militarized actions severely disrupt daily life in IIOJK, with residents in affected areas facing arbitrary raids, intimidation, and displacement. Rights organizations have also condemned these measures, viewing them as part of India’s broader strategy to suppress Kashmiris’ resistance and deny them their right to self-determination.

The operations take place amid growing international calls for a resolution to the Kashmir conflict. Observers suggest that India’s continued militarization and heavy-handed approach in IIOJK are designed to stifle dissent.

Additionally, alongside military maneuvers in Poonch and Rajouri, reports of crackdowns on civilian populations have surfaced, drawing further criticism.
