India in Talks with US to Acquire 31 Armed Drones

New Delhi: India is currently in negotiations with the United States to purchase 31 MQ9B Hunter Killer armed drones, a move that highlights its strategic military aspirations in the South Asian region. These discussions aim to secure a deal by December of this year.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the proposed drones are capable of carrying missiles and conducting extended surveillance missions, with the ability to fly continuously for approximately 40 hours at an altitude of 40,000 feet. The Indian Ministry of Defense has underscored the drones’ potential to enhance India’s surveillance capabilities and strengthen its defense posture.
