India has denied basic rights of IIOJK people: Asif Jaral

Geneva, March 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum France, Mirza Asif Jaral, has said that India has denied the basic rights of the people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and serious violations of human rights are a routine work there.

Mirza Asif Jaral while addressing the 52nd session of Human Rights Council in Geneva said that the situation of human rights in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is very serious where even journalists and civil society members are not spared. He said that occupation forces have arrested journalists and human rights activists like Irfan Meraj, Asif Sultan, Sajjad Gul, Fahad Shah, and Khurram Parvez on false charges.

Asif Jaral appealed to the human rights organizations to play their role in preventing Indian atrocities in the occupied territory. He said that the United Nations and other international organizations should hold the Indian rulers and military officers accountable for the massacre of Kashmiris. He during meetings with various delegations emphasized the need to highlight the Kashmir issue at the global level.

Asif Jaral said that India wants to create a Hindu state by settling non-state residents in Jammu and Kashmir and for this purpose, Muslims are being massacred. A solution is inevitable for which the United Nations must fulfill its responsibilities, he stressed.
