New Delhi, The Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has established a tribunal, headed by a selected Delhi High Court judge, to provide legal justification for the ban on the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), chaired by APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Modi administration outlawed the JKML on December 27 under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, for a period of five years. The organization has been banned due to its pro-freedom activities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
