India Conducts Successful Test of Long-Range Hypersonic Missile

New Delhi: India has successfully carried out a flight trial of a long-range hypersonic missile, marking a significant advancement in the nation’s military capabilities, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the missile is engineered to transport various payloads over distances exceeding 1500 kilometers for the armed forces. This accomplishment positions India among a select group of countries with access to such advanced military technology, as emphasized by Singh. “This is a historic moment and this significant achievement has put our country in the group of select nations having capabilities of such critical and advanced military technologies,” Singh tweeted.

The missile was monitored by a range of systems deployed across multiple domains. Data from down-range ship stations verified the successful terminal maneuvers and impact with a high degree of accuracy, as stated by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), which conducted the trials on Saturday night.
