Islamabad, July 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Information Secretary of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Imtiaz Wani, has said that India cannot weaken the freedom spirit of Kashmiris through use of brute force. Imtiaz Wani in a statement in Islamabad said India is increasing the number of its troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to prolong its illegal rule over the territory, which is condemnable.
He said India is actually converting the occupied territory into a military garrison to occupy the lands of the Kashmiris in the Israeli style and now the Indian soldiers are being allotted lands in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He said India wants to change the demography of Kashmir by issuing domicile to non-Kashmiris.
He has said that despite the deployment of millions of Indian soldiers, India has failed to weaken the freedom spirit of the Kashmiris and would continue their freedom movement till taking it to its logical conclusion. Imtiaz Wani said Kashmiris will not accept anything less than freedom from Indian rule because Kashmiris have rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the Kashmir cause.
He said permanent peace in South Asia is impossible without settling the long-pending Kashmir dispute and urged the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute as per the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
