India behind anti-Pakistan trend on social media

Islamabad, August 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan has launched a report on anti-state trends involved in maligning and defaming the country. An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service said, social media accounts operated from India and Afghanistan are being used to malign Pakistan.

Targeted, deliberate and conscious disinformation campaign is being constantly run by India to discredit Pakistan, the report said, and added that social media campaign against Pakistan and its institutions is being spearheaded by Indian news agency ANI.

Indian agencies are helping anti-Pakistan elements within the country to spread hashtags against Pakistan with an aim to keep Pakistan on the FATF grey list by resorting to disinformation campaign against Islamabad.

Pakistan has sought help from Facebook, Twitter and Google to stop unwanted material being posted against Pakistan and its institutions, the report mentioned and deplored global silence in response to India propagating disinformation against Pakistan. India should remember that all its efforts to malign Pakistan are doomed to fail, the report said.
