India Advances Exploration of Lithium Deposits in Jammu Region


Jammu: The Indian government is moving forward with the exploration and subsequent auction of lithium deposits in the Jammu region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), as stated by the Indian Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the minister disclosed these developments during a session in India’s Parliament. He outlined that the exploration, conducted by the Geological Survey of India (GSI) under the collaboration of the BJP-led central government and the local administration in IIOJK, is progressing swiftly.



Reddy emphasized that following the completion of the exploration phase, the auction process for the lithium deposits will commence promptly, signaling a significant step in utilizing the region’s natural resources.
