Lahore, July 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): Due to the increase in water level in river Chenab, caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi reached the affected area of Sahambal. Mohsin Naqvi met the affected people, listened to their problems and reviewed the relief activities. All the houses have collapsed. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the construction of a protective dam to protect Mouz Sahambal from river erosion and said that the funds for the protective dam are being released today.

He said that Mouz Sahambal The people present should take protective measures and cooperate with the administration in this regard. There is a possibility of an increase in the flow of the river in the next four days and Mouz Sahambal may also be eroded Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered the administration to take all protective measures. And said that the government will not leave the flood victims alone the residents of the destroyed villages will be taken care of. Mohsen Naqvi while giving instructions to the administration regarding the relief activities, said that food and fodder for the cattle should be delivered to the affected people.

The needs of the victims should be fully taken care of. Department of Irrigation, PDMA, Rescue 1122 should be on alert. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi while talking to the media said that the flood water is continuously increasing at Mouz Sahambal. the residents of the affected houses have been shifted to safe places. 90% of the population in submerged villages have been evacuated all possible measures will be taken for flood affected areas in Chenab River. Mohsin Naqvi said that I appeal to the public that the administration on warning, immediately move from the village to safe places Administration, Rescue 1122 and other organizations are diligently conducting rescue operations for flood victims Mohsin Naqvi said that after Muharram, Provincial Information Minister Amir Mir should visit local press clubs. Mohsin Naqvi shook hands with the Rescue 1122 personnel participating in the relief activities and congratulated them.
