Lahore, May 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):Nasreen Bibi and her 12-year-old son Jahanzeb, who were sleeping in the yard of a house in Parhar Sharqi area of Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh Tehsil, were thrown a can full of acid on the night of May 8 in which 80% of the woman’s body was burnt.
Nasreen Bibi died after 18 days of life and death struggle at Nishtar Hospital, Multan. As per direction of district police officer Muzafar Garh captain Retired Tariq Wilayat, Sikandar Hayat, Asad Hayat and Mohammad Asif were arrested in Kot Addu police station under terrorism and other provisions. The three accused are in jail on judicial remand.
CCTV footages and mobile phones of slain have been sent to Forensic Lab Lahore for examination and analysis. Geofencing has also been conducted of this area to identify the accused. Murder provisions have been added to the case after the death of the woman while the condition of the victim’s 12-year-old son Jahanzeb is better and he will be discharged from the hospital soon.
SP Investigation Muzaffargarh Ziaullah is supervising the investigation of the case. The case is being investigated from all angles. Police are in constant touch with the woman’s family. The woman’s parents have expressed satisfaction over the police investigation.
