In the city of Islamabad, the work of removing debris and cleaning continues uninterrupted on the second day of Eid 

Islamabad, July 13, 2022 (PPI-OT):Sanitation staff continued to pick up debris on the second day of Eid despite the rains. In the first two days of Eid, more than sixty-two thousand ornaments were raised. They weigh about one thousand and fifty tons. On the first day of Eid, the citizens sacrificed mostly in the communal altar. On the other hand, there was a mixed trend of individual and collective.

After cleaning the blood and impurities, lime was thrown away so that the rot would not spread. The collected debris was disinfected in ninety pits at forty different places. Citizens were given biodegradable envelopes so that the luxury items could be safely collected and disposed of.

In terms of sanitation, Islamabad has been divided into four zones. 2000 Sanitation staff took part in the clean-up and debris removal operation. More than 200 vehicles, dumpers, loaders, tractors, trolleys, cargo were allocated.

For the convenience of citizens, helpline 1334 or 051.9213908 and 0519211555, 051.9203216 or mobile number 03355001213 for WhatsApp messages and SMS were also launched. In the two days of Eid, about 100 complaints were received on the helpline.

Which were resolved within thirty minutes. Citizens also cooperated fully and handed over the rubbish to the cleaning staff which helped in their timely disposal, the spokesperson said.
