IMF decides to provide $2.77 billion to Pakistan out of total aid of $650bn to Covid affected nations

Islamabad, August 12, 2021 (PPI-OT):International Monetary Fund has decided to provide 2.77 billion dollars to Pakistan out of total aid of 650 billion dollars to Covid affected nations. This was announced by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin, while addressing the media in Islamabad on Thursday. He said the amount will directly be transferred to the State Bank of Pakistan by 23rd of this month. He said we are thankful to the IMF for providing this unconditional support to various countries, including Pakistan. The Minister said this amount will enhance Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves as well.
