Islamabad, The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Executive Board has successfully concluded the first review of Pakistan’s economic reform program, which is part of the IMF’s Stand By Arrangement.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the completion of this review has led to the Board’s approval for an immediate disbursement of approximately 700 million US dollars. This latest disbursement brings the total funds released under the Stand By Agreement to 1.9 billion dollars. This development marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to stabilize and strengthen its economy with the support of the IMF.
