IMF Approves $1.32 Billion Financing for Pakistan


Islamabad: The International Monetary Fund has sanctioned a $1.32 billion financing package for Pakistan, marking a significant development in the country’s economic program. This funding, approved under the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility and Resilience and Sustainability Facility programs, aims to support Pakistan’s economic stability and enhance its financial resilience amid ongoing regional tensions.



According to Radio Pakistan, the latest approval elevates total disbursements under these arrangements to approximately $4.8 billion. The IMF statement highlighted Pakistan’s ability to sustain economic stability and improve financial and external conditions, despite challenges posed by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
