Imam of Masjid Nabawi Visits Pakistan Parliament, Highlights Strong Saudi-Pakistani Ties


Islamabad: In a significant diplomatic and spiritual event, the Imam of Masjid Nabawi, Sheikh Salah bin Muhammad Al-Budair, visited the Pakistan Parliament, an occasion marked by warm welcomes and expressions of deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, emphasized the visit as a reflection of the strong bond within the Muslim Ummah and the enduring brotherhood between the two nations.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq expressed joy and blessing over the visit, highlighting the special place the Prophet’s Mosque holds in the hearts of Muslims worldwide. He reiterated that the ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are based on mutual trust, respect, and support, which have only grown stronger over time. The visit of Imam Al-Budair was seen as a manifestation of these stable and historic relations.



Sheikh Salah bin Muhammad Al-Budair reciprocated the sentiments, appreciating the sincerity and hospitality extended to him during his stay. He acknowledged Pakistan’s role in fostering unity among Muslim nations and its efforts towards peace in the region. At the request of Speaker Sadiq, the Imam also offered special prayers for the development and prosperity of Pakistan and for unity among the Muslim Ummah.



The meeting was attended by notable figures, including the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, the Federal Minister of Law, the Leader of the Opposition, and other members of the National Assembly, all underscoring the importance of this event in reinforcing bilateral relations and communal harmony.
