Islamabad, November 26, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has said that Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is swimming in blood and neither the world powers nor global institutions utter a word of remorse or concern over the prevailing bleeding in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad said the drama of fake encounter and murder of three youth in Ram Bagh, Srinagar, sufficiently proves that police have unlimited powers and liberty without licence to kill any Kashmiri when and where it gets a chance to bloodbath of helpless Kashmiris.
He said, it’s all a shameful and awful act orchestrated by the Indian agencies from time to time. He added that same was the case of Kashmir’s human rights advocate Khurram Pervez whose house was raided by Indian agency, NIA and he was arrested and taken to notorious cells for questioning on flimsy grounds for violating multiple Indian laws including an infamous law of UAPA.
The APHC-AJK Convener said, swords of these laws are hanging over head pf every Kashmiris and nobody is allowed to enjoy any doze of free air or sunshine on his own house-terrace. Khurram Pervez, he added, has been behind the bars for raising voice and making documentaries for the basic human rights of the people.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said today operations are being carried out against the leaders and sympathizers of the popular freedom movement by the NIA, blindly and ruthlessly and every youth or a poor sympathizer of the movement is being targeted for his ideas and faith in freedom, democracy and civil liberties. “Every political worker is under threat and sword of NIA is over his head”, he lamented.
The APHC-AJK Convener condemned all such practices of the Indian establishment in IIOJK, saying that no Kashmiri was safe nowhere because shootouts and fake encounter and human-shields were order of the day in police and military-code of the territory.
He deplored that dead bodies of youth were being hurriedly buried by Indian police in remote graveyards without their families, but only 2 out of 3 dead bodies were exhumed and returned to the families following an outcry and protests by families of victims of Hyderpore, Srinagar, few days before the Rambagh tragedy. He said that at least 2,300 people had been arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) – a vaguely worded law which effectively allows people to be held without trial indefinitely in IIOJK since August 2019.
